AT Enablers

Our group vision is for the North East to become a world leader in the development and delivery of enabling technology for people with dementia.

We are addressing the challenge of keeping the user at the centre of technology development and delivery, particularly around communication between people with dementia and carers and contact with service deliverers (the title of our project was agreed as ‘Enabling Communication Technology’)

The people that would benefit from this are people with dementia – at every stage of the condition , carers, service deliverers, technologists, industry and society.

The help we need includes access to regional funding and the expertise in our regional universities, NHS Trusts and companies in this field.

The steps we are going to take are: 1. Hold our first meeting of the AT-Enablers early in May 2. Contact other interested parties. 3. Publicise the @Enablers.
